Drain the oceans dry

36” x 36”

Acrylic and gel emulsion

In 1050, Meir Ben Issac Nehorai wrote:

"Could we with ink the ocean fill,

and were the skies of parchment made,

were every stalk on earth a quill,

and every man a scribe by trade,

to write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry,

nor could the scroll contain the whole,

though stretched from sky to sky."

This painting suggests a cross section view of the Atlantic Ocean being drained of ink in an attempt to proclaim God's greatness. It’s impossible to do.
